In this role you will be an independent statutory decision-maker, responsible for conducting the arbitration and determining disputes as a key contributor to the success of the Workplace Injury Commission arbitration service.
Drawing on your experience in alternative dispute resolution, you will deliver a consistent and high-quality arbitration service. You will contribute to a culture of high performance and accountability, with a commitment to delivering outstanding arbitration services.
With integrity, accountability and a collaborative mindset, you will:
- Conduct arbitration hearings in a fair, impartial and informal manner with independence and authority
- Evaluate evidence and submissions and make clear, lawful, evidence-based determinations
- Manage a diverse caseload of disputes for arbitration and produce well-structured, concise and clear determinations
- Develop and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships that support our purpose and vision, as well as the team's ability to deliver an exceptional arbitration service
