Resolution Institute is pleased to announce that nominations for the annual Certificate Awards are now open. The Resolution Institute Certificate Awards 2021 are a series of four awards designed to celebrate and honour outstanding contribution and or practice across the dispute resolution spectrum.

Nominations are encouraged from individuals or organisations who have gone above and beyond in their service to dispute resolution and where their work has enriched or enhanced dispute resolution development, theory, practice, or context.

"We know that there are so many practitioners around the country who give their all to their work often changing lives in the process. Dispute resolution has quickly become an important part of everyday life, particularly in the courts, and we want to thank the dispute resolution community for their hard work and unwavering dedication," said Ms. Amber Williams, CEO Resolution Institute.

    The four categories are:

    • Resolution Institute Certificate Award for achievement by an emerging practitioner
This award aims to recognise Resolution Institute members who are early in their practice and already achieving great outcomes in some form. Nomination details for this award can be found here

    • Resolution Institute Certificate Award for exceptional practice
This award recognises Resolution Institute members who have demonstrated exceptional practice. Nomination details for this award can be found here

    • Resolution Institute Certificate Award for innovation in practice
This award recognises Resolution Institute members who have been innovative in their individual practice and/or innovative for their dispute resolution context. Nomination details for this award can be found here

    • Resolution Institute Certificate Award for service to dispute resolution
This award recognises non-members, individuals or organisations who have gone above and beyond in their service to dispute resolution, where their work has enriched or enhanced dispute resolution development, theory, practice, or context. Nomination details for this award can be found here

"I was delighted to receive the inaugural Service to Dispute Resolution Award.  It really means a lot to be recognised by your peers and other leaders in the field for the work that you do, and even more so when you are very passionate about it. It's lovely to know that your work is valued by others and that you have had a positive impact on the field," said 2021 Award recipient Samantha Hardy.

"I would urge anyone who knows a Dispute Resolution practitioner who is an outstanding leader in their community to come forward and nominate them. They could be a dispute resolution practitioner in any dispute resolution context or could be someone whose work is in support of a dispute resolution process," said Ms. Williams.

Nominations close 27 November 2021 and successful applicants will be notified in early 2022.
