This is certainly worth a read for anyone interested in mediation. This report is Part 1 of a series of findings from the Effectiveness Survey.

    Thanks Amanda,

We are glad you found Part 1 useful and appreciate you sharing the document with the community.

For those interested in the remaining parts of the NMAS Review Effectiveness Survey:
    • Parts 2 and 3 are also available. Part 3 is particularly interesting in that it compares the way that different mediator groups e.g. community mediators, FDRPs and conciliators, perceive the NMAS.
    • Part 4 is scheduled for release very soon - it takes a closer look at the way that practice varies across mediator groups, including the extent to which many are providing information, guidance or advice. The results were quite a surprise to us and prompted us to explore this further in the main NMAS Review Survey.

The NMAS Review team will be handing over our recommendations to the Mediator Standards Board at the end of June. Given the hundreds of mediators and dispute resolution professionals who contributed, we hope that the community sees itself expressed via the recommendations we make. We look forward to sharing them with you all soon. For the latest updates visit the NMAS Review Hub at www.nmasreview.com.au
