In this role you will be an independent statutory decision-maker, responsible for conducting the arbitration and determining disputes as a key contributor to the success of the Workplace Injury Commission arbitration service.
As a senior member of the team, you will participate in the development, planning and monitoring of our arbitration services concerning practice, guidelines and procedures, and also serve as a mentor to other Arbitration Officers.
With integrity, diligence and a collaborative mindset, you will:
- Be a senior amongst peers, setting the standard for the arbitration service as you hear and make binding determinations on the more complex disputes.
- Be an active leader, sharing your knowledge, mentoring and contributing to the professional development of Arbitration Officers, nurturing a collegiate environment.
- Conduct arbitration hearings in a fair, impartial and informal manner, managing a diverse caseload of complex disputes for arbitration, producing well-structured, concise and clear determinations
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence in partnership with other managers and leaders within WIC
