In light of current demand, the NSW Small Business Commission have a few fixed term roles that members might be interested in. These are all about mediation under the NMAS model, mainly with commercial leasing or B2B civil disputes. The Director of this area has advised me that the roles would suit newly accredited mediators, semi-retired, or even people looking for a change or different experience and that people with a disability especially welcome - as the NSW Small Business Commission are keen to continue the diversity on the team.
They are also keen to hear from mediators who might be available for a casual pool - this would involve shorter periods (an appointment for number of weeks) to cover demand peaks or gaps in staffing that might arise.
