    Dear Members,

    It is terrific to see members exploring and engaging in Member Connect. Since the launch 9 days ago :
    • 284 members have logged in.
    • 140 profiles with photos have been created.
    • 143 connections made.
    I would like to encourage all of you to continue to participate, create discussions, set up your blogs, set up your biographies and add to the library. Please also encourage your fellow members and or committee members who have not logged in yet to participate in Member Connect.

    This week I will provide tips on your contact details, privacy settings and the daily digest email from Member Connect.

    One of the key reasons we are transforming our communications and your participation onto this platform is from your feedback to have more control and relevancy. Some members with their businesses and careers would like to expand their connectivity points and build their profile, while others prefer to participate and engage with their details in private.

    Let me outline to you the standard settings that is on the system and then take you through to the relevant areas where you can customise.

    Your Contact Details and Privacy Settings.

    • You can see your own information fully each time you log in. Rest assured this is not the information that other members can view on the default setting. Screen 1.
    • The default setting protects all identifiable data on the address and telephone number fields. Only your connected contact can view these details. You can change your settings via this link. Screen 2 and 3.

    Your Daily Digest.

    This is designed to provide you with a summary on the previous day's discussions and for you to decide whether you would like to respond and or start up your own discussions. As we are in the process of streamlining our communications to you and in building up the membership engagement on this platform, we hope in due course to be able to be more relevant and streamlined in our communications. In the interim you may still be receiving communications here and also from our traditional emails that you are familiar with. If you find the daily digest useful then you can keep it as it is. If you find that it adds to your emails from us, please click here to change your settings.  My recommendation for people that select this option to still keep in touch with the Member Connect platform by logging in daily and or every couple of days.
