Bio

I have consistently run family mediations since 1987, both in the family court context and in other diverse areas. I specialize in child focus and child inclusive practice in mediation and hold post-graduate qualifications in counseling as well as being a trained mediator.
My work delivers high rates of agreements with very positive feedback from families and professionals. I have received research awards, scholarships and I have published in academic journals, conference presentations, and general media. I provide training for other professionals in New Zealand.
I have recently completed post-graduate studies in management of parental alienation (Europe) and was also trained and certified by Karen Woodall, international expert, and Director of the Family Separation Clinic, UK.
My skills draw on evidence-based best practices. My 2006 pilot research publication "Hello I'm a voice, let me talk. Child-inclusive mediation in family separation" is widely cited.
I run regular training for professionals throughout New Zealand in family facilitation and child-inclusive mediation.
I also work in a mediation/facilitation capacity with individuals, couples, children, and families.
